HUNTSVILLE, Texas — In an impressive performance, Keon Thompson racked up 20 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, propelling Stephen F. Austin to an 85-75 win over UT Rio Grande Valley on Monday evening.

Thompson also contributed six assists to the Lumberjacks’ efforts, who now hold a record of 12-13 with a 5-9 standing in the Southland Conference. Additional support came from Chrishawn Christmas, who netted 15 points and recorded three steals. Kyle Hayman was also a key player, sinking two 3-pointers and finishing the night with 14 points.

On the opposing side, the Vaqueros, now 13-12 with a matching 5-9 conference record, were spearheaded by Howard Fleming Jr. He led his team with 17 points, while Dekedran Thorn added 16 points to the scoreboard. K.T. Raimey also made a significant contribution, chipping in with 13 points and two steals.
