TUCSON, Ariz. — Jaden Bradley and Caleb Love both delivered strong performances, scoring 16 points, as the No. 20 Arizona Wildcats defeated the No. 13 Texas Tech Red Raiders 82-73 on Saturday evening, successfully avenging their earlier loss in the Big 12 season.
With this victory, Arizona improved to a record of 17 wins and 6 losses, with an impressive mark of 11-1 in conference play. This win also marks their sixth consecutive triumph since suffering a significant 16-point defeat against Texas Tech in January. The Wildcats continue to share the top spot in the conference standings with No. 5 Houston.
In addition to Bradley’s 16 points, he contributed five assists while Love also recorded six assists. KJ Lewis and Henri Veesaar both added 15 points to the scoreboard, while Tobe Awaka had a solid double-double performance with 14 points and 11 rebounds.
On the other side, JT Toppin stood out for Texas Tech, scoring 21 points and grabbing 13 rebounds. Darrion Williams supported the effort with 17 points, including a noteworthy five 3-pointers. However, the Red Raiders struggled with their shooting, finishing at just 37.1% from the field and were outmatched on the boards, being out-rebounded 42-29.
