ALBANY, N.Y. — In a competitive matchup on Saturday night, Vermont triumphed over Albany with a final score of 68-62, thanks in large part to TJ Hurley’s impressive 21-point performance.

Hurley showcased his skills by making 6 of 10 shots from the field, including 2 of 4 from three-point range, and 7 of 8 from the free-throw line. His contributions were key for the Catamounts, who improved their record to 13-11 overall and 6-3 in the America East Conference. Nick Fiorillo was also a standout, contributing 17 points with a shooting percentage of 42.9% (6 for 14), including a stellar 4 for 7 from beyond the arc, along with five rebounds. Shamir Bogues added to the scoring with 15 points, successfully hitting 7 of 13 attempts from the floor.

On the other side, the Great Danes (12-13, 4-6) were led by Amar’e Marshall, who netted 20 points in the effort. Kacper Klaczek provided support with 12 points and four assists, while Justin Neely contributed nine points and gathered six rebounds.

Looking ahead, both teams will return to action on Thursday. Vermont will host New Hampshire, while Albany will travel to face UMass-Lowell.
