KENNESAW, Ga. — In a thrilling showdown on Saturday night, Middle Tennessee edged out Kennesaw State with a narrow 76-75 victory, highlighted by a standout performance from Jestin Porter, who contributed 22 points to the Blue Raiders’ cause.

With just 21 seconds left on the clock, Jlynn Counter secured a pivotal pair of free throws that helped Middle Tennessee stretch their lead to five points at 76-71. Adrian Wooley, representing Kennesaw State, responded by sinking two free throws of his own with only five seconds remaining, but it was not enough to avert defeat.

Porter’s shooting was particularly impressive as he connected on 8 of his 16 attempts from the field, including a strong showing from beyond the arc with 5 of 8 three-point shots. The Blue Raiders are now standing at 16 wins against 8 losses, maintaining a 7-4 record within Conference USA. Essam Mostafa played a crucial role as well, adding 17 points and grabbing seven rebounds, while Justin Bufford contributed an additional 10 points.
