In a closely contested matchup, Tennessee Tech emerged victorious over Eastern Illinois with a score of 59-54 in Cookeville, Tennessee, on Saturday evening.

Jaylon Johnson was a key player for the Golden Eagles, contributing 12 points and grabbing six rebounds. His performance helped elevate Tennessee Tech’s record to 13 wins and 12 losses, including 8 wins and 6 losses within the Ohio Valley Conference. Rodney Johnson Jr. also made significant contributions, scoring 11 points and securing six rebounds. JaJuan Nicholls matched his effort, finishing with 11 points while shooting 5 of 10 from the field and going 1 for 3 from the free-throw line.
