JACKSON, Miss. — In an impressive display of skill, Shannon Grant contributed 18 points in Jackson State’s dominating 92-44 victory over Mississippi Valley State on Saturday night.

Grant had an outstanding performance, making all of his shots—going 7 for 7 from the field and also hitting 4 of 4 from the free-throw line. As a result, the Tigers improved their record to 7-16 overall and 7-3 in the Southwestern Athletic Conference.

Other notable contributions came from Juan Reyna, who secured 12 points along with five rebounds. Dorian McMillian matched Reyna’s scoring output with 12 points as well, shooting 3 for 7 from the field, including 2 for 5 from beyond the arc, and also perfect from the free-throw line at 4 for 4.

On the other side, the Delta Devils struggled offensively, with Johnathan Pace leading their team with just seven points. Moses Horne and Donovan Sanders also contributed seven points each, but their efforts weren’t enough to close the gap against Jackson State.

Looking ahead, both teams are set to compete again on Monday, with Jackson State preparing to host UAPB while Mississippi Valley State will be traveling to face Alcorn State.
