Staveskie records 30 points in Cleveland State’s 77-60 victory over Milwaukee

CLEVELAND – Cleveland State emerged victorious against Milwaukee with a score of 77-60 on Saturday night, thanks in large part to Tahj Staveskie’s impressive performance, scoring 30 points.

Staveskie showcased his shooting prowess by hitting 11 of 16 attempts from the floor, including a strong showing from beyond the arc where he made 5 of 8 shots. He also contributed by going a perfect 3 for 3 from the free-throw line. The win improved Cleveland State’s record to 18 wins and 7 losses overall, with a strong 12-2 mark in the Horizon League. Tevin Smith also had a solid game, scoring 15 points with four field goals out of ten attempts and hitting all six of his free throws. Dylan Arnett added to the team’s efforts, scoring 10 points, having shot 3 of 7 from the field and converting 4 of his 6 attempts from the free-throw line.

On the other side, the Panthers were led by AJ McKee, who recorded 17 points. Milwaukee’s Kentrell Pullian was also a key contributor, finishing the game with 15 points and securing six rebounds. Faizon Fields chipped in with 11 points to help the team’s effort.

Looking ahead, Cleveland State will host Robert Morris in their next game on Wednesday, while Milwaukee prepares to face Wright State at home on Friday.
