Lorient nets 15 in a substitute role, North Texas triumphed over Tulane 76-66.

DENTON, Texas — In a strong performance, Brenen Lorient came off the bench to secure 15 points for North Texas, leading the team to a 76-66 win over Tulane on Saturday.
Lorient also contributed eight rebounds to his team’s effort, helping the Mean Green improve their record to 17-6 overall and 8-3 in the American Athletic Conference.
Alongside Lorient, Atin Wright added 14 points with an impressive shooting performance, making four of ten attempts from the field and hitting three of eight from beyond the arc while going three for three in free throws.
Johnathan Massie also made a solid impact, scoring 13 points while grabbing seven rebounds and shooting five of ten from the field, including three of five from the three-point line.

For the Green Wave, Asher Woods was the standout player with 20 points and two steals.
Rowan Brumbaugh supported the effort with 19 points, and Gregg Glenn III contributed with 14 points.
North Texas took command of the game just over seven minutes into the first half and maintained their lead throughout. By halftime, they held a comfortable 39-26 advantage, with Massie being the key player by the break with his 13 points.
While North Texas was outscored by Tulane by three points in the second half, Lorient still managed to net 11 points, leading his team in that final period.

Looking ahead, both North Texas and Tulane are set to face Rice in their next games; North Texas will play at Rice on Tuesday, while Tulane will host Rice at home on Saturday.
