Malachi Davis played a pivotal role in Long Island University’s victory over Stonehill, scoring 24 points in a tight 62-59 match on Saturday.

Davis also contributed defensively with three steals for the Sharks, who now have a record of 12 wins and 15 losses, with eight wins in the Northeast Conference.

His teammate, Jamal Fuller, added 12 points and matched Davis with three steals, while Blake Lander contributed 10 points, completing 5 of 11 attempts from the field.

For the Skyhawks, Louie Semona was the standout player, finishing the game with a strong performance netting 23 points alongside seven rebounds.

Chas Stinson supported the effort with 10 points and recorded five assists, while Christopher Melis chipped in with eight points during the contest.

Looking ahead, LIU is set to face Fairleigh Dickinson at their home court next Saturday, while Stonehill will host Saint Francis (PA) on Thursday.
