The Milwaukee Bucks have made a notable trade, bringing in guard/forward Kevin Porter Jr. from the Los Angeles Clippers in exchange for forward MarJon Beauchamp.
Porter, 24, has played 45 games this season, putting up an average of 9.3 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 3.2 assists during his 19.6 minutes per game on the court. Last season, while playing for the Houston Rockets, he recorded an impressive average of 19.2 points. However, he spent the preceding year in Greece after being out of the NBA.
This past January, Porter entered a guilty plea regarding charges of misdemeanor assault and harassment stemming from an incident that occurred in September 2023 at a hotel in Manhattan. Authorities stated that Porter assaulted his girlfriend, resulting in serious injuries, including a significant cut above her right eye. His girlfriend countered these claims, alleging that prosecutors were promoting an inaccurate version of events.
On the other hand, MarJon Beauchamp, also 24, has seen limited playing time this season, averaging 2 points, 1.2 rebounds, and 4.7 minutes across 26 games for the Bucks. Beauchamp was previously selected as the 24th overall pick in the 2022 NBA draft.
