DENVER — In an exciting matchup on Thursday night, Chase Forte led the South Dakota Coyotes to an 86-79 victory against the Denver Pioneers with an impressive performance, scoring 25 points.
Forte’s contributions didn’t stop at just points; he also secured six rebounds and recorded three steals, showcasing his all-around game. The Coyotes improved their record to 14-10 overall and 5-4 in the Summit League with this win.
Another key player for South Dakota was Quandre Bullock, who chipped in 20 points on an efficient shooting night, going 7 for 11 from the field, hitting 1 of 4 from beyond the arc, and making 5 out of 8 free throws. Bullock also managed to pull down five rebounds. Isaac Bruns also made a significant impact, scoring 18 points, shooting 6 of 13 from the field, which included a solid 3 for 5 from three-point range, and converting 3 of 6 from the foul line.
On the other side, the Pioneers struggled to keep up but were led by DeAndre Craig, who scored 19 points while also grabbing six rebounds. Teammate Pedro Lopez-Sanvicente contributed with 12 points, also adding six rebounds and two steals. Isaiah Addo-Ankrah rounded out the scoring for Denver with 10 points.
