MOREHEAD, Ky. – Southeast Missouri State had a strong performance against Morehead State on Thursday night, securing an 80-51 victory, largely thanks to Rob Martin’s impressive scoring.
Martin led the Redhawks with 27 points and contributed five assists, showcasing his skills in both scoring and playmaking for his team, which now holds a record of 14-10 overall and 9-4 in the Ohio Valley Conference.
BJ Ward also played a significant role, scoring 16 points with an efficient shooting performance, hitting 6 of 12 attempts from the field and sinking 4 of 7 from beyond the arc. Brendan Terry added to the team’s tally with 8 points on 4 of 8 shooting.
On the side of Morehead State, Tyler Brelsford was the leading scorer with 13 points. Kenny White Jr. supported the effort with 11 points and recorded two steals, while George Marshall contributed 7 points to the Eagles’ total.
Both teams are set for another round of competition on Saturday. The Redhawks will travel to Southern Indiana, and Morehead State will host Little Rock in their respective matchups.
