NEW ORLEANS — Josh Allen, the quarterback for the Buffalo Bills, and his fiancée, actress Hailee Steinfeld, enjoyed a glamorous evening as they celebrated his latest achievement. The couple shared cheerful moments, posing for photos and mingling with other celebrities on the red carpet at the NFL Honors, where Allen was recognized with one of the league’s prestigious awards.
In a tightly contested race for the AP NFL MVP title, Allen narrowly surpassed two-time winner Lamar Jackson. This win marks the closest MVP contest since 2016, when Matt Ryan received the award over Tom Brady. Allen secured 27 first-place votes as opposed to Jackson’s 23, accumulating a total of 383 points, alongside 22 second-place votes and a single third-place vote. Other players nominated for the MVP honor included Saquon Barkley, Joe Burrow, and Jared Goff.
This season has provided several reasons for Allen to celebrate. Notably, the couple shared a joyful moment in November when they announced their engagement on Instagram, showcasing a picture of Allen proposing on one knee.
Their relationship reportedly began in the spring of 2023 when they were spotted dining together in New York City. Since then, Steinfeld has attended various Bills home games, and they also hosted a Halloween party, further solidifying their bond.
Hailee Steinfeld, age 27, hails from Los Angeles and made her acting debut at just 10 years old. She has received significant recognition for her work, including an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her performance as Mattie Ross in the Coen brothers’ 2010 adaptation of “True Grit.” Steinfeld also earned a Golden Globe nomination for her role in the coming-of-age film “The Edge of Seventeen.” Additionally, her filmography features titles such as “Bumblebee,” the series “Dickinson,” and Marvel’s “Hawkeye,” as well as voice acting roles in “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” and its sequel.
On the other hand, Josh Allen, now 28, has made his mark on the Buffalo Bills since being drafted in the first round in 2018 from Wyoming. He has established numerous passing and scoring records for the franchise and played a pivotal role in leading the Bills to the AFC Championship game during the current season.
