Istanbul, Turkey – Spanish forward Alvaro Morata has made a move to Galatasaray on loan from AC Milan, with both clubs confirming the transfer. The announcement came late on Sunday.
Galatasaray will pay AC Milan a fee of six million euros (approximately $6.1 million) to secure Morata’s services on loan until January 20, 2026. The Turkish club has the option to make this transfer permanent for an additional fee of eight million euros. If the buyout option is exercised, Morata’s salary will be set at six million euros per season.
Morata, who has had a diverse career including stints at Chelsea, Juventus, Real Madrid, and Atletico Madrid, has managed to score six goals and provide two assists in 25 appearances across all competitions in this season alone.
In a related move, AC Milan has replaced Morata with Mexican striker Santiago Gimenez, who joined from Feyenoord. Milan confirmed that Gimenez has signed a contract lasting until June 30, 2029.
