Istanbul, Turkey — Spanish forward Alvaro Morata has officially signed with Galatasaray on a loan deal from AC Milan, as confirmed by both clubs.
The announcement came late on Sunday evening.
Galatasaray will pay six million euros (approximately $6.1 million) to Milan for Morata’s loan, which is set to last until January 20, 2026.
Furthermore, the agreement includes an option for Galatasaray to secure a permanent transfer for a fee of eight million euros.
Should the club decide to exercise this option, Morata’s annual salary will be six million euros.
Morata, who has had a dynamic career with stints at notable clubs such as Chelsea, Juventus, Real Madrid, and Atletico Madrid, contributed significantly at Milan this season, netting six goals and providing two assists in 25 appearances across various competitions.
With Morata’s departure from Milan, it is anticipated that Mexican striker Santiago Gimenez will fill the void, as he is poised to join the team from Feyenoord.
