Pops of color and sparkle stand out against the muted hues on the Grammys red carpet

LOS ANGELES – The 67th Grammy Awards commenced on Sunday, showcasing a red carpet filled with a palette of black and muted tones reflecting the recent wildfires in Los Angeles that have left a sense of devastation in the air.
However, amidst this somber backdrop, attendees shone brightly in outfits dominated by extravagant sleeves and intricate embellishments. The color red made a notable appearance, particularly on figures like Haley Kalil.

Among the standout trends from the evening, Sierra Ferrell emerged as a bold fashionista, resembling a daring bride unafraid of taking risks.
She celebrated her significant win of four Grammys while dazzling in an opulent white gown from Jeffrey Kelly Designs.
The dress featured extravagant luminescent sleeves adorned with pearls, complemented by a matching choker accessory. Ferrell elevated her bridal ensemble with an impressive veil embellished with pearls and floral accents, paired with striking chandelier earrings. Adding a unique touch, she carried a scepter in which she cleverly tucked her acceptance speech.
After her third trip to the stage, she humorously remarked, “Honestly this is kind of hilarious,” and playfully kicked off her fourth speech with a “Yikes!”

Chappell Roan made a memorable entrance as well, showcasing a vintage ensemble from Jean Paul Gaultier Haute Couture.
Her long, wavy red hair cascaded down her back, while her signature white powder makeup was brought to life with vibrant colors—yellows, blues, pinks, and reds.
The gown featured teal accents and prints inspired by Degas’ dancers, hailing from the spring 2003 collection that had previously made waves when worn by Beyoncé in Elle that April.
Elle’s digital director, Claire Stern Milch, highlighted Roan’s reputation for distinctive red carpet styles that embody her artistic personality, noting that this evening’s choice was no different.

In a sibling fashion twist, Jaden Smith made a statement in Louis Vuitton with an oversized black castle stylishly perched atop his head, while his sister, Willow Smith, graced the carpet in a classic young Hollywood look— a chic sparkling black two-piece paired with a coordinating long coat.
Willow embraced her natural locks, enhancing her petite ensemble with towering black platform heels.

Adding to the evening’s allure were rapper Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, and Bianca Censori.
Not surprisingly, they drew attention with Censori’s daring sheer dress that turned heads and sparked conversations. She is well known for her provocative streetwear choices.
At the Grammy event, she shed her dark fur coat to dramatically reveal her back, making a striking impression on the press.

Red, reminiscent of Taylor Swift’s vibrant style seen at Kansas City Chiefs games with her boyfriend Travis Kelce, was a notable trend of the night.
Kacey Musgraves made an elegant statement in a flowing gold belted skirt matched with a minimalist white muscle tee, representing Ralph Lauren Collection for the upcoming spring 2025.

Jacob Collier also turned heads, appearing in a dazzling, sequined multi-colored coat paired with bright matching pants, showcasing an adventurous hairstyle standing tall.
His vibrant ensemble was part of a tribute to the late Quincy Jones, who played a pivotal role in launching Collier’s music career during his teenage years.
Reflecting on Jones’ legacy, Collier stated, “Quincy is the man, as we all know. Quincy is the king.” Additionally, Collier is nominated for the esteemed Album of the Year category.
Notably, Jones passed away in 2024.

Overall, the Grammy Awards not only highlighted extraordinary music talent but also delivered a memorable showcase of fashion that captured the essence of artistic expression.
