NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. — In an exciting matchup on Saturday, Charleston Southern triumphed over Longwood with a close score of 89-85, thanks in large part to Daylen Berry’s impressive performance, scoring a total of 28 points.

Berry not only led the Buccaneers (8-16, 4-5 Big South Conference) in scoring but also contributed five rebounds to the team’s efforts. RJ Johnson also had a standout game, recording 22 points on an efficient shooting night, making 6 of 9 field goals and 10 of 11 from the charity stripe, while providing eight assists to his teammates. Taje’ Kelly added to the offensive onslaught, finishing with 20 points. He demonstrated his scoring ability by shooting 6 for 8 overall, including 2 for 3 from beyond the arc, and hitting 6 of 10 free throws.
