LOS ANGELES — Following the debut of his latest album titled “Hurry Up Tomorrow,” The Weeknd has announced an extensive stadium tour across North America. This development underscores his standing as a prominent contemporary solo artist, securing his place in the music scene.
The “After Hours ‘Til Dawn” tour is set to commence on May 9 in Phoenix at State Farm Stadium, with the grand finale scheduled for September 3 in San Antonio at the Alamodome.
The tour is set to cover numerous cities, including Detroit, Chicago, East Rutherford in New Jersey, Foxborough, Massachusetts, Minneapolis, Denver, Inglewood, California, Las Vegas, Santa Clarita, California, Seattle, and several locations in Canada, such as Vancouver, Edmonton, Montreal, and Toronto. Additional stops will include Philadelphia, Landover in Maryland, Nashville, Miami, Atlanta, Orlando in Florida, Arlington in Texas, and Houston.
Joining The Weeknd on this tour will be Atlanta-born rapper Playboi Carti along with renowned music producer Mike Dean.
Fans can buy tickets starting with an artist presale, which kicks off on Wednesday at 10 a.m. local time and will be available until Thursday at 9 a.m. local time. General ticket sales will open on February 7 at 10 a.m. local time through the official tour site.
“Hurry Up Tomorrow” serves as the concluding piece in The Weeknd’s record-setting trilogy that started with the 2020 release of “After Hours,” followed by “Dawn FM” in 2022. The album features high-profile collaborations with artists like Future on “Enjoy the Show,” Anitta on “São Paulo,” and Lana Del Rey on “The Abyss.”
Part of the inspiration for this album can be traced back to a performance at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, where The Weeknd, whose real name is Abel Tesfaye, faced vocal challenges during the show, which he later described as a breakdown moment. He is set to return to this venue for two nights in June.
