ARLINGTON, Texas — On Thursday night, the Mavericks secured a thrilling victory over Southern Utah, finishing the game at 70-68. Lance Ware was a standout performer, contributing 26 points to help lead UT Arlington to their tenth win of the season.

In addition to his scoring prowess, Ware also pulled down six rebounds. Brody Robinson played a pivotal role as well, netting 20 points and executing a crucial driving layup just 8.3 seconds before the final buzzer. Robinson’s shooting was efficient; he made 7 out of 16 attempts, which included two three-pointers from six attempts, and he was perfect at the foul line, hitting all four of his free throw attempts. Furthermore, he contributed five rebounds and provided nine assists, showcasing his versatility on the court.

For Southern Utah, Jamir Simpson matched the intensity by scoring 20 points, while JT Langston Jr. added 16 points along with six rebounds. Brock Felder had a notable performance on the boards, collecting 13 rebounds to complement his six points.

Both teams are set to compete again this Saturday, with UT Arlington gearing up to host Utah Tech, while Southern Utah will travel to face Tarleton State.
