MOREHEAD, Ky. — In a thrilling college basketball matchup on Thursday evening, Tennessee Tech secured a 72-64 victory over Morehead State, with Jaylon Johnson making a notable impact by scoring 14 points.
Johnson showcased his shooting skills by making 4 of 9 attempts from the field, including 3 of 8 from beyond the arc, and converting 3 of 4 free throws. His performance helped the Golden Eagles improve their record to 11 wins and 11 losses, and 6 wins against 5 losses in the Ohio Valley Conference.
Supporting Johnson was Kyle Layton, who contributed significantly with 13 points. Layton shot 3 of 6 from the field, hitting 1 of 3 from three-point territory, and impressively completed all 6 of his free-throw attempts.
