TROY, Ala. — In a thrilling matchup on Thursday night, Tayton Conerway played a pivotal role in leading Troy to an 81-74 victory over Georgia Southern. Conerway not only scored 15 points but also contributed significantly with five assists and three steals, showcasing his versatility on the court for the Trojans, who improved to a 14-7 overall record and 7-3 in the Sun Belt Conference.

Alongside Conerway, Jackson Fields made an impact by scoring 12 points, demonstrating efficient shooting by hitting 4 of 8 attempts from the floor and converting 4 of 6 from the free-throw line. He also provided solid defense with three blocks. Myles Rigsby added to the Trojans’ total with 11 points, shooting 3 of 5 overall, including one three-pointer, while also sinking 4 of 5 foul shots.

On the opposing side, Tyson Brown emerged as the Eagles’ top performer with a double-double, scoring 16 points and grabbing 11 rebounds.
