TULSA, Okla. — In a thrilling matchup on Wednesday night, the UAB Blazers secured a 78-68 victory over the Tulsa Golden Hurricane, primarily led by Yaxel Lendeborg, who turned in an impressive performance with 28 points.

Lendeborg’s contributions didn’t stop at scoring; he also showcased his all-around game by securing 13 rebounds, dishing out six assists, and blocking four shots. The Blazers improved their record to 13-8 overall and 6-2 in the American Athletic Conference. Adding to the team’s efforts, Ja’Borri McGhee scored 14 points on an efficient 6 for 10 shooting. Meanwhile, Tyren Moore struggled to find his rhythm, finishing the game with nine points on a 3 of 11 shooting performance, including 3 for 8 from beyond the arc.

On the other side of the court, Dwon Odom led the way for Tulsa with 17 points, along with eight rebounds, seven assists, and two blocks. Keaston Willis contributed 16 points to the team’s effort, while Braeden Carrington added nine points. The Golden Hurricane’s record now stands at 9-12 overall and 3-5 in conference play.
