ST. PAUL, Minn. — In an impressive performance, Miles Barnstable contributed significantly with 23 points, guiding St. Thomas to an 86-71 victory over Oral Roberts on Wednesday evening.
Barnstable also secured seven rebounds for the Tommies, who improved their record to 17 wins and 6 losses overall, and 7 wins against 1 loss in the Summit League. Carter Bjerke supported the team’s performance by scoring 13 points, hitting 6 of his 11 shot attempts, including 1 out of 3 from beyond the arc. Kendall Blue also joined in on the scoring, finishing the game with 13 points after going 6 of 12 from the field, although struggling from long range with only 1 successful 3-pointer out of 6 attempts.
On the other side, the Golden Eagles managed to rally with their lead scorer, Issac McBride, who put up 21 points, showcasing his skills on the court. JoJo Moore also contributed to the team effort with 13 points. However, the Golden Eagles found themselves falling further behind with a record of 5 wins and 16 losses, including 1 win and 7 losses in the Summit League.
Looking ahead, St. Thomas is scheduled to play against North Dakota State at their home court on Sunday. Oral Roberts, on the other hand, will prepare to host UMKC this coming Saturday.
