LAVAL, Quebec — In an impressive display of skill, Marie-Philip Poulin scored three goals, leading the Montreal Victoire to a 4-1 victory over the Ottawa Charge on Wednesday evening, and securing the top position in the Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL).

With this performance, Poulin now has the highest number of goals in the league, totaling eight. Additionally, Jennifer Gardiner contributed to the win with one goal and two assists for Poulin’s goals. The Victoire improved their record to 7-2-1-2, climbing ahead of the Minnesota team in the standings. Goaltender Ann-Renée Desbiens made 31 saves, marking her seventh win, which is the best in the league right now.
