SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — In a delightful twist to the traditional gender reveal parties, golfer Tony Finau chose to surprise his older children with the gender of their new sibling after the baby was born. Finau announced the arrival of his sixth child through an Instagram post, sharing that his wife, Alayna, welcomed their newborn on Saturday. Up to this moment, the couple’s other five kids were kept in the dark about whether they had a new brother or sister.
The reveal took place in a hospital setting, as showcased in a heartwarming video shared by Finau. He brought his children into the room where Alayna was holding the baby, cleverly wrapped in a blanket, leaving only the face visible. One by one, he inquired what each child thought the gender of their sibling was, asking them if they thought they had a little brother or sister.
As the guesses rolled in, the eldest, Jraice, confidently declared it was a boy. His younger siblings—Tony, Neenee, Sage, and Sienna-Vee—echoed his assertion, all believing they were welcoming a new brother. Tony Finau added an interesting twist by mentioning that the color of the baby’s clothing would provide the answer to the mystery.
With anticipation building, Alayna unveiled the blanket to display a pink onesie, confirming that the Finau family had indeed welcomed another daughter into their fold. Finau, age 35, is known for his notable achievements in golf, including two appearances at the Ryder Cup and six professional victories on the PGA Tour. This week, he is participating in the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
