COLLEGE STATION, Texas — Aicha Coulibaly, the top scorer for Texas A&M, will be sidelined for the remainder of the season due to a knee injury.
Coulibaly sustained her injury during a game on Sunday, where the Aggies faced off against No. 7 LSU, ultimately losing with a score of 64-51.
Standing at six feet tall, Coulibaly has been a key player for Texas A&M this season, averaging 12.8 points, 5 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game. This marks her second consecutive season as the leading scorer for the Aggies.
Before joining Texas A&M in 2023, Coulibaly spent three years at Auburn, where she amassed a total of 1,675 career points. Recognized for her impressive performance, she was honored as a second-team all-Southeastern Conference player by the league’s coaches during the 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons while at Auburn.
As Texas A&M navigates the season with a record of 10-9 and 3-4 in the SEC, the team is scheduled to travel to Arkansas for their next matchup on Thursday.
