On Tuesday, it was revealed that MLB The Show 25 will feature emerging talents Paul Skenes, Gunnar Henderson, and Elly De La Cruz as the cover athletes for its next video game installment.
This marks the first occasion in the history of the series that three players will be showcased on a single cover.
The game is slated for release on March 18.

Paul Skenes, a 22-year-old pitcher for the Pittsburgh Pirates, notably earned the title of National League Rookie of the Year last season.
Recently, he generated significant excitement when an 11-year-old from the Los Angeles area unveiled his rookie card, which has become a sought-after item among collectors.
With promising prospects ahead, Skenes’ card is anticipated to carry substantial value.
He concluded the 2024 season with an impressive record of 11 wins and 4 losses, alongside a 1.96 earned run average (ERA) over 23 starts.

Elly De La Cruz, a 23-year-old shortstop for the Cincinnati Reds, made headlines by becoming only the fifth player in over a century to hit at least 20 home runs and steal 60 bases in the same season.
He finished with 25 home runs while leading all of Major League Baseball with 67 stolen bases, a remarkable achievement that highlights his speed and power.

Baltimore Orioles shortstop Gunnar Henderson, also 23, was recognized as the American League Rookie of the Year in 2023.
He participated in last season’s Home Run Derby, showcasing his impressive batting abilities.
Henderson capped off the year with 37 home runs, 92 runs batted in (RBIs), and a solid batting average of .281.

These three players’ accomplishments not only underscore their individual talents but also reflect the growing excitement within Major League Baseball as they step into new roles as key figures in the sport.
