NORMAN, Okla. — On Sunday, No. 15 Oklahoma achieved a decisive victory against Georgia, winning 86-55. Raegan Beers played a key role, contributing a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds, marking her eighth of the season for the Sooners, who now stand at 16-4 and 4-3 in the Southeastern Conference. This win also marks the second consecutive defeat of the Bulldogs in their history, with Oklahoma now leading the all-time series 2-5.

In addition to Beers, Payton Verhulst also scored 13 points, hitting three shots from beyond the arc, while Sahara Williams added 12 points. Liz Scott made a significant impact off the bench, contributing 10 points to the Sooners’ efforts. On the other side, the Bulldogs’ freshman reserve Mia Woolfolk led her team with 19 points, just one shy of her season high, while Asia Avinger chipped in with nine points and six rebounds.

Oklahoma started strong, taking a 26-12 lead after the first quarter, driven by Beers’ early contributions of six points. The Sooners continued their pace, with Williams scoring another 10 points and Scott adding nine by halftime, resulting in a comfortable 54-30 lead. The home team excelled with a remarkable shooting performance, hitting 11 of 18 in the second quarter and boosting their shooting percentage to 61.8% at the break. Georgia faced challenges, managing only 11 successful shots out of 33 attempts and struggling from the three-point line, hitting just 2 of 11.

Despite a dip in their shooting efficiency during the third quarter, Oklahoma still expanded their lead to 72-44. The Sooners faced further difficulties in the fourth quarter but managed to finish the game with a shooting percentage of 46% (29 for 63). In terms of rebounds, Oklahoma dominated Georgia 50-36 and enjoyed a significant advantage in fastbreak points, outscoring them 11-0.

Looking ahead, Oklahoma is set to face No. 5 LSU on Thursday, while Georgia will host Mississippi on the same day.
