EDINBURG, Texas — In a commanding performance, Quadir Copeland led the McNeese Cowboys to a decisive 93-63 victory over the UT Rio Grande Valley Vaqueros on Saturday evening.

Copeland showcased his all-around game by scoring 21 points and also providing eight assists and three steals, helping his team maintain their impressive form. The Cowboys, now boasting a record of 15 wins and 5 losses, remain undefeated in Southland Conference play with nine consecutive victories.

In support of Copeland, Christian Shumate added 12 points and was effective on both ends of the court, finishing with 10 rebounds along with a shooting percentage of 66.7%, converting 6 of his 9 attempts. DJ Richards also contributed 12 points to the team’s success, showing his shooting ability from beyond the arc by making 4 of 9 three-point attempts.
