Nazir Williams’ impressive performance, scoring 28 points, propelled Cornell to a victory over Princeton with a final score of 85-76 on Saturday.

Williams also contributed five rebounds for the Big Red, who now sit with an overall record of 11-6 and a conference record of 3-1 in the Ivy League. In addition, Guy Ragland Jr. played a crucial role in the win, adding 22 points and securing eight rebounds. AK Okereke made a solid impact as well, finishing with 14 points, having shot 75% from the field and a strong 80% from the free-throw line.

On the other side, Caden Pierce emerged as the leading scorer for the Tigers, tallying 20 points while also grabbing 10 rebounds and dishing out five assists. Blake Peters matched his contribution with another 20 points for Princeton. Meanwhile, Xaivian Lee notched 19 points alongside three steals. Unfortunately for Princeton, this defeat ended their seven-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, both teams are set to play again next Friday, where Cornell will host Dartmouth, while Princeton will take on Yale at home.
