HAMDEN, Conn. — On Saturday, Amarri Tice was instrumental in leading the Quinnipiac Bobcats to a 75-64 victory over the Rider Broncs by scoring 19 points.
In addition to his scoring prowess, Tice also contributed significantly on the boards, grabbing 12 rebounds, and showcased defensive skills with three steals. The Bobcats, now with a record of 12-8 and an impressive 8-1 in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, saw Ryan Mabrey add 12 points to the scoreboard, capitalizing on his sharp shooting by converting 4 of 6 attempts from beyond the arc. Khaden Bennett also made his mark with 11 points, hitting 3 of 6 field goal attempts and finishing 4 for 5 from the free-throw line, while knocking down one of three attempts from long range.
For the Broncs, who hold a record of 7-13 and are 3-6 in the same conference, Tariq Ingraham stood out with a double-double, registering 15 points alongside 14 rebounds. He also made an impact defensively, recording two steals and three blocks. Jay Alvarez contributed 14 points, while TJ Weeks Jr. had a solid performance with 13 points and eight rebounds, including two steals.
Both teams are set to return to action on Friday, with Quinnipiac preparing to host Fairfield and Rider facing off against Saint Peter’s at their home court.
