PHILADELPHIA — In an impressive performance, Sam Brown led the University of Pennsylvania to a commanding 93-78 victory over Columbia on Saturday.
Brown was on fire, scoring 30 points with remarkable shooting stats of 9 for 12 from the field, including an exceptional 8 for 10 from three-point territory, and also converted 4 of 5 attempts from the free-throw line.
Supporting Brown, Ethan Roberts contributed significantly with 15 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists, showcasing his versatility on the court. Another key player for the Quakers was George Smith, who added 14 points with an efficient shooting performance of 5 for 10, which included three successful shots from beyond the arc.
On the other side, the Lions were led by Avery Brown, who scored 19 points in an effort to keep Columbia competitive. Kenny Noland also had a productive outing, recording 16 points along with six assists and three steals. Noah Robledo made his mark as well, chipping in with 11 points.
As the Quakers improve their record to 6-11 overall and 2-2 in the Ivy League, Columbia struggles with a 11-6 record and no wins in the league, sitting at 0-4.
