MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. — The Miami Dolphins have decided to hire a new coach to oversee their wide receivers, bringing in Robert Prince, who has built a strong reputation in the field. A reliable source has confirmed this information but requested to remain anonymous as the team has not officially announced the hiring yet.
Robert Prince comes with two decades of coaching experience, having most recently served as the receivers coach for the Dallas Cowboys, where he worked closely with standout player CeeDee Lamb since 2022. His previous coaching roles include time spent with the Detroit Lions from 2014 to 2020 and a brief period with the Houston Texans in 2021.
During his tenure in Detroit, Prince collaborated with Darrell Bevell, who is currently the quarterbacks coach and passing game coordinator for the Dolphins. This connection could facilitate a smoother transition as Prince takes over the responsibility of mentoring the Dolphins’ wide receivers.
He will succeed Wes Welker, who was let go along with special teams coordinator Danny Crossman earlier this month. Welker had been with the Dolphins coaching the wide receiving corps for three seasons prior to his dismissal.
