In a thrilling match in La Liga, former Manchester United winger Adnan Januzaj made headlines with a stunning free kick deep into stoppage time, ensuring a dramatic 1-1 draw for Las Palmas against Osasuna on Friday night.

Januzaj’s impressive strike in the eighth minute of added time denied Osasuna the opportunity to secure their first league victory since early November. The visitors had taken the lead when Aimar Oroz found the back of the net just eight minutes into the second half, navigating through a crowded penalty area to score the opener.

However, the tide turned in favor of the home side thanks to Januzaj, who is currently on loan from Sevilla. His late free kick, which took an unexpected deflection, found its way into an empty net, sending the home crowd into a frenzy.

The comeback was particularly remarkable considering that Las Palmas had to endure the last 15 minutes of the game a man down, following the red card shown to midfielder Dário Essugo. Essugo received a contentious yellow card for what seemed to be a harmless tackle in the 72nd minute, and after expressing his frustration, he was shown a second yellow almost immediately. His teammates had to intervene as he was escorted off the field by club officials.

As a result of the draw, Osasuna moved up to ninth place in the standings, while Las Palmas remained in 14th position. Despite their struggles, the point earned by Las Palmas showcases their resilience, with Januzaj’s late brilliance providing a spark during a challenging match.
