CHARLESTON, Ill. — In a competitive matchup, Morehead State defeated Eastern Illinois with a final score of 73-66, highlighted by George Marshall’s impressive performance, contributing 24 points to the victory on Thursday night.

Marshall showcased his skills by making 9 out of 15 attempts from the field, including a solid 3 out of 8 from three-point territory, along with a perfect record of 3 for 3 from the free-throw line. This win improved the Eagles’ record to 13-7 overall and 8-1 in the Ohio Valley Conference. Kenny White Jr. also made a significant impact by scoring 14 points, shooting 4 for 10 from the field, with a notable 2 for 4 from beyond the arc. Additionally, he secured eight rebounds for the team. Jerone Morton contributed further by adding 13 points, completing 5 of 9 shots, including 3 of 7 from three-point range.
