LEWISTON, N.Y. — In a thrilling matchup on Thursday night, Jaden Daughtry delivered a decisive layup, thanks to a precise assist from Jadin Collins-Roberts, with just one second remaining in overtime, leading Marist to a thrilling 67-65 victory over Niagara.
The game saw a late equalizer when Josiah Davis managed to tie the score at 57 with only 22 seconds left before regulation time concluded.
Marist exhibited a strong offensive performance, with Tarik Watson and Jadin Collins each contributing 12 points. Watson was especially efficient, hitting 6 out of 7 shots from the field for the Red Foxes, who boast a record of 14-3 and 7-1 in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. Collins had a solid outing as well, going 5 for 12 from the field, including 2 for 5 from beyond the arc, while also distributing 11 assists during the match.
