HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. — On Thursday evening, Cruz Davis showcased an impressive performance, scoring 28 points, which helped Hofstra secure a commanding 93-68 victory over Delaware.
Davis also achieved a double-double by collecting 10 rebounds and dishing out seven assists for the Pride, who now hold a record of 11-9 overall and 3-4 in the Coastal Athletic Association. German Plotnikov made a notable contribution as well, scoring 14 points with an efficient shooting performance of 5 for 6 from the field, alongside contributing seven rebounds and three steals. Jean Aranguren also added to the offense, finishing with 13 points after making 6 of 12 attempts from the field, including one for three in three-point territory.
On the other side, Delaware’s Fightin’ Blue Hens, who are at an equal record of 11-9 and 4-3, were led in scoring by Niels Lane, who compiled 16 points while also registering five assists and two steals. Erik Timko matched Lane’s output with another 16 points for the Blue Hens. Additionally, John Camden rounded out the scoring efforts with 15 points and six rebounds.
Looking ahead, both teams will be back in action on Saturday. Hofstra will be hosting Campbell, while Delaware will hit the road to take on Drexel.
