WORCESTER, Mass. — In a competitive matchup on Wednesday night, Army triumphed over Holy Cross with a score of 76-71, powered by Josh Scovens’ impressive performance.
Scovens led the Black Knights, contributing 25 points with a shooting performance of 10 for 18 from the field, including 1 for 3 from three-point territory, and also made 4 out of 6 free throws.
Ryan Curry complemented the effort with 24 points, converting 8 of his 20 field goals, with a particularly effective 7 for 15 from long range while also securing six rebounds.
AJ Allenspach rounded out the scoring with 14 points, shooting an efficient 7 of 8 from the field.
For the Crusaders, Kahlil Singleton was the standout, scoring 22 points and making two steals.
Max Green also made significant contributions with 19 points, eight rebounds, four assists, and two steals.
Declan Ryan chipped in with 10 points, adding to the team’s effort.
A strong second half from Ryan Curry, who scored 16 points during that period, was instrumental in securing the five-point victory for Army.
