ITHACA, N.Y. — In a thrilling matchup on Monday, Aaron Cooley’s impressive performance, scoring 28 points, guided Brown to a narrow victory over Cornell with a final score of 83-82.
Cooley also contributed with seven rebounds for the Bears, who now hold a record of 9-7 overall and 1-2 in the Ivy League. Landon Lewis played a pivotal role as well, adding 17 points to the score line and grabbing five rebounds. AJ Lesburt Jr. had a notable outing, shooting 4 for 6 from the field, which included a stellar 3 for 4 from three-point range, totaling 11 points.

On the other hand, Cornell, now 10-6 overall and 2-1 in the conference, was led by AK Okereke, who recorded 18 points along with four assists and a couple of steals. Nazir Williams made a solid contribution with 17 points and four assists, while Jake Fiegen added 13 points and blocked two shots.

The intensity of the game peaked as Cornell held a slim lead of 82-79 with just 2:06 left on the clock.

Looking ahead, both teams are set to take the court again on Saturday, with Brown scheduled to host Dartmouth and Cornell preparing to face Princeton on the road.
