MELBOURNE, Australia — Tennis enthusiasts should take note: Carlos Alcaraz has a younger sibling, Jaime, who has shown promise in the game.
Jaime, aged 13, kicked off his journey by winning his opening match in the qualifying rounds at Les Petits As, a prestigious tournament in France for young tennis talents. This event has been a stepping stone for many professional players, including the likes of Carlos Alcaraz and Rafael Nadal, before they achieved success on the international stage.

Carlos Alcaraz, currently a four-time Grand Slam champion at just 21 years old, expressed his excitement about his brother’s accomplishment after advancing to the quarterfinals at the Australian Open on Sunday.
He reminisced, saying, “I remember that tournament and that period in my life. I made a lot of friends while competing in that circuit.” He conveyed his joy in seeing Jaime participate in tournaments similar to those he experienced at a young age.

Although Carlos hadn’t had the opportunity to converse with Jaime directly, he did have a discussion with their mother, who is present at Les Petits As.
“I’m supporting him from afar. It doesn’t matter that I’m on the other side of the world; I’m always trying to be there for him, alleviating any pressure that might be placed on him,” Carlos noted. “I’m just delighted to see him grow and transition into a mature individual.”
