In a morning incident on Friday, a New York bus found itself precariously positioned over a 12-foot drop near an overpass in the Bronx, though fortunately, no injuries were reported.
The accident occurred around 8:30 a.m. when the bus, which was headed towards Manhattan, struck a retaining wall, according to information from the Metropolitan Transportation Authority.
Images captured at the scene depict the bus having crashed through the wall, with its front tire dangling dangerously over a stone barrier adjacent to a bridge on the Henry Hudson Parkway. Debris from the wall scattered onto the road beneath the bridge, as evidenced by the photographs.
Authorities are currently conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the accident, though details are still forthcoming.
