POCATELLO, Idaho — Connor Hollenbeck showcased an impressive performance, scoring 22 points in Idaho State’s narrow 70-67 win over Montana State on Thursday evening.
Hollenbeck had an efficient night, making 7 of 13 attempts from the field, including 4 of 6 from beyond the arc, and hitting all four of his free throws. The Bengals, improving their record to 7-8 and 2-2 in the Big Sky Conference, also received solid contributions from Dylan Darling, who registered 19 points along with five rebounds and five assists.
Isaiah Griffin chipped in with nine points on 4 of 9 shooting, including one three-pointer.
For Montana State, who now stand at 6-12 overall and 1-4 in conference play, the standout was Tyler Patterson, contributing 18 points to the team’s total. Brandon Walker matched that scoring output with another 18 points, while Bryce Zephir finished the game with nine points and two steals.
Looking ahead, both squads are set to return to action this Saturday. Idaho State will take on Montana at home, while Montana State will head to Weber State for their next matchup.
