RICHMOND, Va. — On Tuesday evening, Joe Bamisile showcased an impressive performance, scoring 23 points as VCU triumphed over Saint Louis with a final score of 78-62.

Bamisile had a strong shooting game, successfully making 8 of 17 attempts from the field, which included hitting 4 of 9 three-pointers, and he was perfect from the free-throw line, going 3 for 3. His contribution helped the Rams improve their season record to 13-4 overall and 3-1 in the Atlantic 10 Conference. Jack Clark was another significant contributor for VCU, scoring 12 points, hitting 5 of 9 shots, and 2 of 5 from beyond the arc, while also distributing five assists. Max Shulga followed with 11 points on 4 of 10 shooting and made 1 of 4 from three-point territory, also contributing nine assists and four steals.

Robbie Avila and Isaiah Swope were the leading scorers for Saint Louis, each netting 18 points. Gibson Jimerson also played a key role in the game, adding 11 points to the team’s total.

Bamisile had a strong start, leading VCU’s offensive efforts with 17 points in the first half, which helped the team head into halftime with a narrow lead of 47-42. In the second half, VCU seized control of the game with a decisive 14-2 run. Shulga was pivotal during this stretch, scoring a team-high eight points in the second half.

The Rams will look to continue their momentum in their upcoming game against Saint Joseph’s (Pa.) on Friday, while Saint Louis will travel to Richmond for a game scheduled on Saturday.
