BALTIMORE — In a dominating performance on Monday night, American University secured a 73-54 win over Loyola Maryland, with both Matt Rogers and Elijah Stephens contributing significantly by each scoring 19 points.

Rogers showcased his shooting skills, connecting on 8 of 16 attempts, including three shots from beyond the three-point line for the Eagles, who now have a record of 9-9 and a 3-2 standing in the Patriot League. Meanwhile, Stephens was equally impressive, hitting 8 of 12 and sinking three shots from three-point range, while also providing five assists to his teammates. Matt Mayock added to the scoring with 11 points, all coming from beyond the arc.

On the Greyhounds’ side, Jordan Stiemke led the team with 11 points, but it wasn’t enough to shift the momentum. Milos Ilic contributed with nine points, and Veljko Ilic followed closely with eight points for Loyola Maryland, who now hold a record of 7-9 and 2-3 in their league play.
