STATE COLLEGE, Pa. — The running backs have made a commitment to continue their journey at Penn State.

On Monday, both Nick Singleton and Kaytron Allen shared the news of their return for the 2025 season with fans and followers. During the recent season, both players surpassed the 1,000-yard rushing mark, playing crucial roles for the Nittany Lions, who concluded their season with a strong 13-3 record but faced a loss against Notre Dame in the College Football Playoff semifinal.

Allen took to Instagram, expressing his desire to tackle “unfinished business.” Meanwhile, Singleton emphasized their collective aspirations, stating, “we still have goals that we want to reach as a team and I want to be alongside those teammates as we reach those goals.”

The partnership between Singleton and Allen was instrumental in the success of the Nittany Lions this year, guiding the team to the Big Ten Conference title game and then onto the College Football Playoff semifinals, where they put up a tough fight against the Fighting Irish in the Orange Bowl.

In the semifinal matchup against Notre Dame, Singleton showcased his skills with a game of 84 yards and three touchdowns, wrapping up his junior season with a total of 1,099 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns. On the other hand, Allen also proved his prowess, contributing 82 rushing yards and finishing with 1,108 yards and eight touchdowns this season.

Quarterback Drew Allar will also be back for another season, bolstering the team’s prospects moving forward. However, their standout linebacker, Abdul Carter, who earned the title of Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year, has signed with agent Drew Rosenhaus, positioning him as a strong contender for one of the top spots in the upcoming NFL draft this spring.
