TROY, Ala. — In an exciting match on Saturday night, Taryn Todd led the Arkansas State Red Wolves to a narrow 84-78 victory over the Troy Trojans, scoring a total of 21 points.
Todd also contributed significantly with seven rebounds, helping his team improve to a record of 12 wins and 5 losses, with 3 wins and 2 losses in the Sun Belt Conference.
Another standout performer for the Red Wolves was Joseph Pinion, who added 17 points to the scoreboard, demonstrating impressive accuracy with a 5-of-10 shooting performance, including hitting 5-of-9 from three-point range.
Terrance Ford Jr. proved to be a valuable asset as well, finishing the game with 15 points after shooting 5-of-7 from the field and making all four of his free-throw attempts, while also dishing out eight assists.
On the opposing side, Tayton Conerway put on a remarkable display for the Trojans, scoring an impressive 32 points, complemented by seven assists and four steals.
Theo Seng also made a solid contribution with 18 points and recorded two blocks for Troy, which now stands with a record of 10-6 overall and 3-2 in the conference.
The next game for Arkansas State will be on Thursday at home against Louisiana, while Troy is set to face UL Monroe in an away game on Wednesday.
