HAMPTON, Va. — Jasin Sinani delivered an impressive performance for Campbell, scoring 21 points in their 66-55 triumph over Hampton in a matchup held on Thursday evening.
Sinani’s contributions extended beyond scoring, as he also secured seven rebounds and provided five assists for the Fighting Camels, improving their season record to 7-9 and 2-1 in the Coastal Athletic Association. Cameron Gregory played a key role as well, contributing 13 points while successfully hitting all six of his free-throw attempts, despite struggling with his shooting from the field, going 3 for 11, and only connecting on one of four from three-point range. He also grabbed six rebounds and recorded five assists. Colby Duggan added 12 points on 5 for 9 shooting, including two threes out of five attempts.
On the other side, the Pirates, now at 8-8 overall and 1-3 in conference play, were led by George Beale who scored 15 points and made two steals. Kyrese Mullen chipped in with ten points, contributing to the team’s efforts.
In the first half, Sinani managed to score only five points, which saw Campbell heading into the halftime break down by ten at 30-20. However, the second half saw a remarkable shift as Sinani erupted for 16 points, propelling the Fighting Camels to a strong finish and securing an 11-point victory.
