ERIE, Pennsylvania – On Sunday, Central Connecticut State secured a 62-50 triumph over Mercyhurst, thanks in large part to Abdul Momoh, who contributed 17 points in the game.
Alongside his scoring prowess, Momoh also grabbed 10 rebounds, helping the Blue Devils improve their record to 11-4 overall and 2-0 in the Northeast Conference. Jordan Jones added to the team’s efforts with 12 points, hitting 5 of his 12 field goal attempts and converting 2 of 3 from the free-throw line. Devin Haid scored 8 points and went 3 for 8 in total shooting, including 2 for 5 from beyond the arc.
For the Lakers, Aidan Reichert was the standout player, leading his team with 15 points. Jeff Planutis made a solid contribution as well, recording 10 points and collecting 8 rebounds. Max Jusianiec also chipped in with 10 points to the Lakers’ effort.
Both squads are set to return to the court on Friday, with Central Connecticut State hosting Wagner, while Mercyhurst will head out to face Saint Francis (PA).
