PHOENIX — In an impressive display of skill, Tyon Grant-Foster led the Grand Canyon Antelopes to an 82-71 victory over Southern Utah on Saturday night, contributing an exceptional 23 points to the winning effort.
Grant-Foster also showcased his versatility on the court by grabbing nine rebounds and recording three steals, helping his team improve to 11-4 overall and 1-0 in the Western Athletic Conference. Collin Moore was another key player for the Antelopes, scoring 17 points on an efficient shooting night, hitting 7 of his 13 attempts, including 2 for 4 from three-point range. Meanwhile, Duke Brennan made a notable contribution by scoring 16 points, hitting 5 of 10 from the field, and was particularly effective at the charity stripe, connecting on 6 of 7 free-throw attempts, while also securing 15 rebounds.
On the other side, Dominique Ford led the way for the Southern Utah Thunderbirds with a strong performance, finishing with 22 points and six rebounds. Jamir Simpson added 13 points, while Tavi Jackson rounded out the scoring with 12 points along with nine assists and two steals, but their efforts were not enough to secure a win.
