Newton displayed impressive shooting skills, going 4 for 7 from the field, including an excellent 4 for 5 from three-point range, while also making all four of his free-throw attempts.
Alongside him, Dontaie Allen contributed significantly with 14 points, hitting all five of his shots, four of which were from beyond the arc.
Matija Belic also made a notable impact, finishing with 13 points on 6-for-8 shooting.
Wesley Celichowski emerged as the top scorer for the Falcons, recording 19 points.
Meanwhile, Ethan Taylor showcased his versatility with a stat line of 10 points, seven rebounds, eight assists, and three steals.
In the first half, Newton managed to score nine points, but Wyoming entered the break with a narrow deficit, trailing 36-33.
After halftime, Wyoming quickly turned the game around with a 7-0 run that lifted them from a one-point deficit to a 62-56 lead with just over four minutes remaining.
Jordan Nesbitt was crucial during this stretch, contributing 10 points in the second half to help secure the win.
